The incredibly versatile bamboo plant gives us the toothpick-thin strips used to form up our Irawaddy™ baskets. Only one village in Burma retains the skill to weave these hundreds of delicate strips of bamboo with rattan-skin twine to create incredibly strong but elegant baskets.
